Meeting, rally banned at BSMMU following assault on doctors

The authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has banned all kinds of meeting and rally till further notice.

Earlier on Saturday, two doctors, including a personal assistant of BSMMU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Sharfuddin Ahmed, were ousted from the university after being beaten up by colleagues.

After the incident, BSMMU proctor Prof Md Habibur Rahman Dulal in an emergency notice said that all meetings, processions and rallies are banned inside the BSMMU till further notice.
The victims doctors are the VC's personal assistant Dr Md Russel Ahmed and the BSMMU's Super Specialised Hospital's additional director Dr Rasul Amin Shipon.
