The body of
police constable Sohel Rana's five-year-old son Raisul Islam, who had been missing for three days following a
trawler capsize in the
Meghna, was recovered on Monday afternoon.
Now, with Raisul's body, Fire Service's diving team recovered all eight bodies.
Earlier this morning, the constable Sohel Rana and electrician Belon Dev, 50, were recovered by the team.
The divers ended their rescue operation on Monday afternoon as they recovered all eight bodies.
On March 22, a trawler, carrying 21 people, capsized after being hit by a sand-laden bulkhead around 6pm in the part of the river flowing through Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj district.
Twelve passengers were rescued alive.
Bhairab Police Station in-charge KM Maniruzzaman Chowdhury said that the bodies were handed over to the families.
Constable Sohal Rana's father Abdul Alim filed a case as plaintiff with Brahmanbaria's Ashuganj Police Station over the incident. Six people were made accused in the case.
Naval police are investigating the incident.
