Police recovered the body of a worker from a rice warehouse at Sadar upazila in Jashore district early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Bayezid Hossain, 28, son of Nazrul Islam, hailed from Khulna district.

Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge Abdur Razzak said police, on information, recovered the body and sent it to the Jashore Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

He assumed that Bayezid might have been killed after being beaten or strangled inside the warehouse.

Mentioning that police arrested a night guard for questioning, the official said investigation was underway in this regard.
