UP member's wife found hanging in Faridpur

Police on Monday recovered the hanging body of the wife of a union parishad member in Faripur's Saltha upazila.

Deceased Akhi Akter, 20, was the second wife of Gotti UP's Ward No-3 member Parvez Molla, hailed from Kanaid village.
According to police and locals, UP member Parvez Molla had another wife. He also has a son from his previous wife. Then Parvez got married with Akhi Akter, daughter of Shahid Molla, of Bara Bangrail village under Sonapur union of the same upazila, last year after his divorce with his first wife due to a family dispute. After the marriage, Parvez had often quarrels with Akhi over his first wife. Following this, the woman may had committed suicide, locals added.

Saltha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faizur Rahman said the body was recovered on information.

Legal action is under process in this connection, the OC added.
