Police arrested six people along with lethal weapons in Chattogram city on Monday night while preparing for decoity.
The arrested were Obaidul Hasan, 35, Helal, 49, Ledu alias Alauddin alias Hasan, 35, Sujon, 33, Sohel alias Kawsar, 24, and Hasan Tarek, 24.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Kotwali Police Station conducted a drive in front of Railway Public High School and arrested them, said the police station officer-in-charge M Obaidul Haque.
He said a total of four sharp machetes were seized from their possessions.
The arrested used to loot the valuables including money, and mobile phones intercepting their way in the area.
They were later sent to a court after filing a case against them with the police station, the OC further said.
