Robber-gang leader nabbed in Feni

FENI, Mar 27: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a drive, arrested the leader of an inter-district robbers gang of Feni from Pahartali area in Chattogram City on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrested is Gias Uddin, 35, son of late Abdul Maleq alias Kala Mia, a resident of Jaylaskar Union in Daganbhuiyan Upazila of the district. He is an accused of eight cases.
RAB-7 Feni Camp Commander Squadron Leader Mohammad Sadequl Sadequl on Wednesday said on information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in Pahartali area of Chattogram City on Tuesday afternoon and arrested Gias Uddin following a case filed with Feni Sadar Model Police Station (PS) on July 19, 2023.
However, the arrested was handed over to Daganbhuiyan PS, the RAB official added.
