Man killed over land dispute in Natore

A man, who was undergoing treatment after being attacked by a rival group over a land dispute in Naldanga upazila of Natore, died at a hospital on Saturday morning.

The deceased Zillur Rahman, 47, was being treated at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Quoting locals, Monawaruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Naldanga Police Station, Zillur Rahman and Rashidul Islam of village Chandpur in the upazila went to the disputed land and their rival Abed’s men attacked them on Friday morning.

Rashidul and Zillur were admitted to RMCH in a critical condition and Zillur died in the morning.
Meanwhile, police arrested Abed Ali in this connection, the OC said.
