Construction of Nagar Health Centre begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Mar 30: Shah Sarwar Kabir, MP, inaugurated the construction work of Nagar Health Centre in Sabupara area in the town on Thursday by unveiling a plaque as the chief guest.
Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) will implement the work at Tk 4.70 crore financed by the Asian Development Bank.
The chief guest said, the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given emphasis on the health sector of the country in a bid to reach health services to the doorstep of people to build a healthy nation.
The health centre is being constructed on priority basis, he added.
Executive Engineer of LGED Sabiul Islam, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahmud Al-Hasan, and Upazila Engineer Bablu Miah were present at the opening function. In reply to a query, Executive Engineer Sabiul Islam said, the work is expected to be finished by December next.
