A total of 11,732 applicants have passed the written portion of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service, or BCS, exam.
The results were published on the website of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (bpsc.gov.bd) on Wednesday afternoon.
They can also be checked on mobile by typing PSC<space>44<registration number> and sending the SMS to 16222.
The oral examinations of those who passed the written portion of the exam will begin on May 8.
The 44th BCS exam will appoint 1,710 applicants to positions in 25 cadres in the civil service.
The PSC issued the notice for the 44th BSC examination on Nov 30, 2021.
The preliminary exams were held in the eight divisional cities on May 27, 2022.
Of the 350,716 applicants, only 276,760 sat for the exams with nearly 21 percent absent.
A total of 15,708 applicants passed the preliminary exam.
The 44th BCS will appoint 449 job seekers to the general cadre, 485 to the technical cadre, 401 as general education teachers to colleges, 20 to general education in teacher training colleges, and 355 to teaching in technical education institutes.
