Two Nagad employees shot, Tk 60 lakh looted in Narsingdi

Miscreants shot two employees of Nagad and looted Tk60 lakh in a broad daylight in Hasnabad, Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district on Thursday morning.

The victims were Delwar Hossain,50,  a supervisor at Nagad, and Shahin Mia, 25, a field worker, faced this harrowing ordeal while en route on a motorcycle.

Shafayet Hossain Palash, the officer-in-charge of Raipura police station, said that the two employees were on motorcycle. When they reached near Hasnabad Bazar Bridge around 9am, two armed miscreants on motorcycles intercepted the Nagad employees and opened fire on the victims.

Later, they forcibly took away the bag filled with money.

Locals took the injured to the Narsingdi Sadar Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital as their conditions deteriorated.
