Driver killed as truck rams car in Tangail

A driver of a private car was killed after a truck rammed the car at Sakhipur upazila in Tangail district on Thursday.

Deceased Milton Miah, 45, was son of Motahar Miah, a resident of Gazeshwari village in the upazila.
Locals said a truck hit a private car from the opposite direction near Kalia Bazar, leaving the front side of the car twisted and its driver critically injured.

He was rescued and taken to Sakhipur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Sakhipur Police Station officer-in-charge Sheikh Shahinur Rahman said the body was handed over to the family following legal procedure.
