Four cases have been filed in connection with looting money and arms from banks at Ruma and Thanchi, and abduction of Sonali Bank manager.
Of those, three cases were filed with Ruma Police Station and one case at Thanchi Police Station.
Additional Police Super Md Raihan Kazemi of Bandarban district confirmed in on Friday (April 5) afternoon.
He said three cases were filed at Ruma Police Station accusing unnamed persons for their alleged involvement in bank robbery and one case was filed at Thanchi Police Station.
A group of armed members of militant group of Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) attacked Upazila Parishad office and later they stormed to Sonali Bank's Ruma Branch in Bandarban and abducted its manager Nezam Uddin around 8.30pm on Tuesday.
They also looted fire arms, cash from local banks, abducted sonali bank manager and assaulted ansars and police during their sudden attack.
Nizam Uddin, the manager of Sonali Bank's Ruma branch in Bandarban district was rescued around 7.15pm and he was taken to the local RAB camp in Bandarban, the RAB said.
