Minor child drowns in Lalmonirhat pond

A minor child drowned in a pond at Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat district on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was Tawhid, 2, son of Mofizul Islam, hailed from Jigarghat area under the upazila.

Locals said the child fell down in a pond near his house while he was walking along the bank of the pond.

Hatibandha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam confirmed the matter.
