Fire breaks out at S Alam’s edible oil factory in Ctg

A fire broke out at an edible oil factory of S Alam Group at Moijjartek in Chattogram on Friday.

Fire Service and Civil Defence Department Chattogram Deputy Director Dinomoni Sharma said that the fire broke out in the office room of the factory at around 8.50am.

Eight units of firefighters rushed to the spot. They control the flame but it is not completely extinguished.

The reason behind the fire and the estimated damage in the incident could not be known immediately. 

However, there was news of casualties.
