Body of schoolboy, who went missing in Padma, recovered

The body of schoolboy, who went missing in the Padma river on Friday afternoon while bathing, was recovered on Saturday morning.

The deceased was Riyadh Ramin Arid, 16. He was the son of additional chief engineer of Bangladesh Railway Riyadh Ahmed Raju, who drowned on Friday afternoon while bathing in the river.

Fire Service's Dhaka warehouse inspector Sanjay Kumar Das said they spotted Arid's floating body in Dighirpar Dhankora area around 9:15am and recovered it with the help of naval police.

Divers recovered the bodies of Raju and his brother-in-law Jewel around 8pm on Friday.
A group of 30-35 people from Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area took a trawler ride in the Padma river on Friday afternoon.
 
Of them, 10-12 people stopped the trawler near Dhankora to take a bath in the river and three of them went missing.
 
Being informed, members of Fire Service from Munshiganj sadar and Tongibari upazilas and river police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of the two.
