Robis data speed has improved by 130% and voice quality by 50% over the last year. This tremendous improvement was brought about by a number of bold steps reflects Robis commitment to ensure superior quality of service for its subscribers.

Using spectrum refarming, the company has recalibrated the use of its available spectrum for 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies, which has significantly improved voice and data experiences compared to 2022. More than 1,000 sites were added in 2023, resulting in an expansion of the 4G population coverage to an impressive 98.8%, says a press release.

Moreover, Robi has also deployed L2600 spectrum to optimize our network capacity in areas that needed support to deal with the rising data traffic. This measure helped to improve the data experience for the customers.

Additionally, AI-based software and machine learning tools were deployed to make our network more intelligent, optimizing traffic loads and enriching customer experiences in voice and data.

Call drop rate, one of the key voice quality parameters came down to only 0.3%, which is significantly better than the benchmark set by the telecom regulator.

Robis Chief Commercial Officer, Shihab Ahmad said: "2023 will go down as the year when we laid the foundation of smart network infrastructure to support the Smart Bangladesh vision. As a result, Robis focus extends beyond traditional connectivity service to seamlessly facilitate digital lifestyle, enhancing daily experiences in unprecedented ways.”
