Traffic constable crushed between two buses in Jatrabari

A traffic police constable was severe injuries after being crushed between two buses in Jatrabari area in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

The injured was Md Mithun, 48, a constable of Wari (traffic) Division.

Ashraf Imam, deputy commissioner of the division, said the constable Mithun was discharging his duties. He was crushed between the two buses of ‘Turag Paribahan’ at Shaheed Faruk Sarak around 2:15pm.

Mithun was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with critical injuries, he said adding that police have seized the buses.

Meanwhile, Shishir Kumar Ghosh, a consultant of Surgery Ward of the hospital, said Mithun sustained severe internal injuries and his condition is critical.
