Oh Almighty!
Do help me to focus my mind.

Oh Almighty!
Why does it happen so?
When I am engrossed in prayer,
Then my mind
Within a moment
Way thoughts go in different directions.

Oh Almighty!
Whenever I carefully
Keep calling you;
Again within a moment
My mind gets distracted
And flies to the corners of old memories
In the realm of youth in the bioscope of wind
To the fiery days of March and
To the tumultuous Liberation war of
Nineteen seventy one,
Yet sometimes-
My thoughts go out to find freedom
And calculate what life has achieved and not.

Oh Almighty!
Do let my mind concentrate
I don want to be on run all the time
Behind the scattered thoughts of my mind!
Do make the mind run behind me
Do connect the mind with the soul,
O my Holy Spirit!
Do be centralized in me
Now let my thoughts
Concentrate be in prayer.
