Elections to Bandarban's three upazilas suspended

The Election Commission (EC) has suspended the elections at three upazilas in Bandarban.

Election Commission (EC) Secretary Md Jahangir Alam informed this to journalists after an inter-ministry meeting over 6th upazila polls on Tuesday morning.
As the joint operation is underway by the law enforcement agencies in Thanchi, Ruma and Rowangchhari upazilas in Bandarban, the polls to three upazilas have been suspended, the EC said.

The elections will be held in the upazilas at a convenient time, he added.
