GST admission test at JuU tomorrow

The cluster admission test for 24 general, science, and technology (GST) universities will begin this Saturday. This time, the GST admission tests will start with the A unit (science).

Approximately 1 lakh 64 thousand students will sit for the exam against around 12 thousand seats in this unit. The exam will be held at 23 centres out of 24 universities. Among them, Jagannath University will have over fifty thousand students taking the exam.

Professor Dr Md.Shajahan, the Dean of the Faculty of Science at Jagannath University, on Thursday said that a total of 53 thousand 815 students under the A unit (Science) will sit for exams at Jagannath University. The main centre will be Jagannath University, with exams also being conducted at five sub-centres under JnU.

He mentioned that at the main centre, Jagannath University, there will be 12 thousand 579 examinees, while 25 thousand 296 examinees will take part in the exam at the Dhaka University subcentre, 3 thousand at Siddheswari Girls College, 6 thousand 740 at Government Bangla College, 3 thousand 200 at Dhaka Residential Model College, and 3 thousand examinees will take part in the exam at Begum Badrunnesa Government Womens College subcentre.

About the comprehensive preparations for the exams, the Dean of the Faculty of Science at JnU, Professor Dr Md Shajahan, stated that all necessary preparations have already been completed. Preliminary work on all exam papers has been finished.

When questions arrive before the exam, they will be distributed to the respective exam centres in advance. Special attention is directed to each centre to prevent any untoward incidents.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Sadeka Halim emphasised that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the exams are conducted without any disruptions.

Stringent measures have been taken to uphold discipline and security. Both the proctorial team and the police will be there on exam days.

It is to be noted that the admission tests for the A unit (Science) of 24 cluster universities will be held on April 27 (Saturday), for the B unit (Humanities) on May 3 (Friday), and for the C unit (Commerce) on May 10 (Friday).

The admission test for A unit will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, while the admission tests for the other two units will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
