2 'KNF members' killed in Bandarban army drive; amrs-ammunition recovered

Two armed members of Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) were killed during a drive by Bangladesh Army in Bandarban district on Sunday.

The operation was conducted in the remote Baklai area under Ruma upazila.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate confirmed this in a press release on Sunday.
Three firearms, huge amounts of ammunition, walkie-talkie and other materials were recovered during the drive, said the ISPR.

Local sources said that they have heard heavy gunshots from Saturday to Sunday morning. Later, found two bodies inside the forest in the morning and then informed police.

Earlier on April 23, another KNF operative was killed in an army raid in Munlai Para area of Ruma upazila.
