4 concerns of Ispahani Group win Green Factory Award 2023

Three tea gardens and one export-oriented textile mill of the Ispahani Group have been honored with the Green Factory Award for 2023, recognizing their commitment to providing workers and environment-friendly working environments.

In the tea category, Mirzapore Tea Garden, areen Tea Garden, and Ghazipore Tea Gardenand in the textile category, Pahartali Textile and Hosiery Mills have been awarded Green Factory Award-2023, says a press release.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment Affairs, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, presents this award in acknowledgment of the organizations commitment to ensuring a labor-friendly and safe working environment.

The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, under the Ministry of Labor and Employment Affairs, awarded the Green Factory Award-2023 to 29 factories/organizations across 12 domestic sectors.

The award ceremony took place at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center (BICC) on Sunday.

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury graced the occasion as the chief guest, while State Minister for Labor and Employment, freedom fighter Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, attended as the special guest, and Labour and Employment Secretary, Md Mahbub Hossain, presided over the function.

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, handed over the awards to Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of M. M. Ispahani Limited, Mr. Golam Mustafa, COO-GMTE and Mahbubul AlamCOO-PTHM.

It is to be noted that earlier two tea gardens of Ispahani Group, Ghazipore and Neptune won two awards of Green Factory Award-2020.

This years award is yet another recognition of Ispahani Groups strong commitment and consistent efforts to ensure a labor-friendly, safe, and dignified working environment.
