Heatwaves disrupt education

Dear Sir

The scorching heatwave poses a serious threat to our educational system. Apparently, the ongoing circumstances prompted temporary closure of educational institution or run online classes due to health concern.

It is ostensible that the situation becomes grave as students are vulnerable to sickness even reportedly some schools experience the death news of teachers. Universities including Dhaka University run online classes during heatwave despite the fact some departments continue their semester exams physically that create mixed repercussion amid students. Government and UGC should take measures to run the classes and exams smoothly and more effectively as they made beyond all expectations at the time of Covid situation.
Eventually, education is imperative for maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of educational system in the face of climate change challenges.
