On Tuesday, the local Met office recorded countrys highest temperature 43.7°C in the district at 3:00pm. The Met office of Chuadanga recorded the highest temperature of the country in the last three consecutive days.

Peoples life has become very miserable in such fierce weather. The heat wave and hot winds crippled peoples life in the district.

Zaminur Rahman, District Meteorology Officer of Chuadanga, said the temperature may remain unchanged in coming days in the district and may also rise in the district. "There is no likelihood of rain in Chuadanga in the next three days."

Due to scorching heatwave, most people went back to their houses as soon as possible while most people refrained from going out at day time.  At noon the total district town looked almost deserted. Few people ventured out on emergency, but returned home soon.

Many market and office goers suffered immensely as they had to wait for long for vehicles, because the number of transports were a few on the roads amid the heatwave.

The rickshaw and van pullers were worried due to lack of passengers in the prevailing weather. Many rickshaw and van pullers could not drive their vehicles and spent idle time in shade from the glaring sunlight.

Bangladesh sees prolonged heat wave as the Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast that severe heat wave now sweeps over parts of the three divisions including Dhaka and very severe heat wave scorches several north, southeast and southwestern parts of the country.

"Very severe heat wave is sweeping over Jashore, Chuadanga, Pabna and Rajshahi districts and severe heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka division and the rest part of Khulna and Rajshahi divisions," the BMD said, adding, "Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Barishal, Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and the district of Mymensingh as the heat wave with different intensities may continue."

It forecast that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is also likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places, said a BMD release valid for next 72 hours from 9:00am on Tuesday.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it said, adding, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Due to increase of moisture incursion, the discomfort may persist.

However, these issues were resolved yesterday.
