Policeman crushed under train in Kushtia

A police official was crushed under the wheels of a train at Mirpur upazila in Kushtia district on Friday.

The incident happened around 1:30 pm in Katdahachar area.
Deceased Saidur Rahman, was a sub-inspector at Mazihat Police Camp in the upazila.

Mirpur Police Station officer-in-charge Mostafa Habibullah said a freight train hit his motorcycle and pulled him around one and a half kilometers away from the spot, leaving him dead on the spot.

Higher officials of police visited the spot, he added.
