Six people found dead in five districts

Six people including a schoolgirl were found dead in separate incidents in five districts - Thakurgaon, Narayanganj, Dinajpur, Pirojpur and Kushtia, recently.
THAKURGAON: Two people including a college student were found dead in separate incidents in Ranishankail Upazila of the district in four days.
Police recovered the body of a man from a maize field in the upazila on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Taimul Islam, 60, a resident of Nuntor Gochia Village under Nandua Union in the upazila.
Police and the deceaseds family sources said Taimul Islam went out of the house on April 27 last to go to his daughters house. He had been missing since then. The family members searched him various areas but could not locate him anywhere.
Later on, locals spotted the body of Taimul Islam lying on a maize field in Rampur area of the upazila on Thursday evening and informed the matter to police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ranishankail Police Station (PS) Sohel Rana confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind the death of the man would be known after getting the autopsy report.
However, no case was filed with the PS in this regard yet, the OC added.  
On the other hand, police recovered the hanging body of a college student from a graveyard in the upazila on Monday afternoon.
Deceased Shanu, 25, was the son of Taher Hossain of Gazirhaat Pashchimpara Village under Nanduar Union in the upazila. He was a second year student of Thakurgaon Polytechnic Institute.
The deceaseds family members said Shanu went out of the house on Sunday night, but did not return. The family members searched him in various areas but could not locate him.
Later on, local farmers spotted the body of the college student hanging from a branch of mango tree adjacent to a graveyard in Gazirhaat Panchpir area on Monday afternoon and informed the matter to police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Ranishankail PS OC Sohel Rana confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind the death of the student would be known after getting the autopsy report.
NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered the body of a schoolgirl from Siddhirganj in the city on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Swapna Akhter, 14, daughter of Delwar Hossain, a resident of Kadamtali area of Siddhirganj. She was an eighth grader at Adamjee MW School.
Police sources said locals spotted an unidentified female body wrapped in a sack in Ward No. 7 Kadamtali area under Narayanganj City Corporation at around 5 pm and informed the matter to police.
Being informed, police rushed to the scene and recovered the body.
Later on, the body was identified as Swapna Akhter at night. It was known that Swapna had been missing since April 30 last.
However, police sent the body of the schoolgirl to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Siddhirganj PS OC Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter.
PARBATIPUR, DINAJPUR: Police recovered the hanging body of an office assistant of a school from his workplace in Parbatipur Upazila of the district on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Swapon Kumar Pal, 52, son of late Nrigendra Nath Pal alias Cheru Pal, a resident of Natunbazar Palpatti area in the upazila. He had been working as an office assistant of Government Bangabandhu High School in the area for the last 22 years.
It was known that Swapon Kumar went out of the house in the morning to go to the school, but he did not return to home. The family members then started searching him and came to know that he was last seen by the locals at around 4:30 pm when he was going to a local market from the school.
Later on, the night guard of the school saw the body of Swapon Kumar hanging from the ceiling fan of the office room in the school in the evening and informed the matter to police.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene at around 9:15 pm and sent it to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy. The deceaseds younger brother Balram Kumar Pal said Swapon Kumar had been frustrated over his financial condition for long. He also took loan from various sources. Not being able to repay the loan money, he might have committed suicide by hanging himself.
Parbatipur Model PS Inspector (Investigation) Hafiz Md Raihan confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.
PIROJPUR: The body of a fisherman was recovered from the Baleshwar River in Mathbaria Upazila of the district on Wednesday after one day of his missing.
The deceased was identified as Suman Hawlader, 30, son of Siddiqur Rahman Hawlader, a resident of Khejurbaria Village in the upazila.
It was known that Suman went missing in the Baleshwar River at Purankhal Point in the upazila on Tuesday night while he was catching fish there.
On information, the Fire Service personnel rushed in and conducted a rescue operation but could not find him.
Later on, they recovered his body from the river on Wednesday and handed it over to the deceaseds family members.
Mathbaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Abdul Kaiyum confirmed the incident, adding that necessary assistance will be provided to the deceaseds family.
DAULATPUR, KUSHTIA: Police recovered the body of an auto-rickshaw driver after his a week of his missing from Daulatpur Upazila in the district recently.
The deceased was identified as Sagar Hossain, 25, son of Siraj, a resident of Sadipur Purba Para Village in the upazila.
It was known that Sagar along with his auto-rickshaw went out of the house on April 21 last, but did not return. Finding him nowhere, the deceaseds father lodged a general diary with Daulatpur PS. Later on, locals spotted the decomposed body of Sagar lying under Pakshi Bridge in Bheramara Upazila of the district after one week and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceaseds family members after an autopsy.
Police and locals suspected that miscreants might have killed Sagar before snatching his auto-rickshaw and then dumped his body under the Pakshi Bridge.
