Two men including a Rohingya youth were found dead in separate incidents in two districts - Jhenidah and Coxs Bazar, on Sunday and Monday.
JHENIDAH: Police recovered the body of an NGO worker from the office room of Wave Foundation in Kotchandpur area of the district town on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Saidur Rahman, 45, son of late Omar Ali, hailed from Habashpur Village in Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari District. He worked as Kotchandpur Branch Manager of the Wave Foundation.
It was known that Saidur lived in a room of his office in Gabtala Para area of Kotchandpur. On Monday morning, one of his colleagues informed police and the Fire Service that Saidur was not responding from inside his room since Sunday night.
On information, police and the Fire Service recovered Saidurs body from the room.
The deceaseds brother-in-law Samiul Ferdous said that Saidur had a severe heart disease. He might have died of heart failure amid sleep.
UKHIYA, COXS BAZAR: Police recovered the slaughtered of a youth from a Rohingya Camp in Ukhiya Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nur Kalam, 29, son of Nur Salam, a resident of block D/14 in Camp No. 19.
Locals alleged that a group of miscreants slaughtered the youth at the early hours of Sunday at block M 17 of Camp No. 18 in the upazila.
Confirming the incident, Md Shamim Hossain, officer-in-charge of Ukhiya Police Station, said on information, they recovered the body and sent it to Coxs Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Additional Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police Battalion Md Amir Zafar said investigation is going on to find out the actual reason behind killing and arrest those involved in this regard.
