Burimari Express derails, runs after five hours

PABNA, May 9:  The movement of Ishwardi-Dhaka railway route has been restored in the district after the derailment of the Burimari Express.
The train bound for Dhaka got derailed at Muladuli Station point of the Muladuli-Chatmohar meter gauge line at  Ishwardi on at Wednesday  at about 3:04 am.
Later on, at 8:10 am, after the carriage was removed, the train resumed running on the line.
Train service with Dhaka-Joidebpur on the meter gauge line of Western Railway was temporarily stopped after the accident. Eight trains were kept at various stations on the meter gauge line till 8 am. Other train schedule was disrupted.
An inquiry committee has been formed by the Pakshi Division Railways regarding the derailment of the train.
Pakshi Divisional Railway Transport Officer Anwar Hossain has been made the head of the committee. The remaining two members of the committee are Divisional Railway Engineer-2 Birbal Mandal and Divisional Mechanical Engineer Md Mumtazul Islam.
Divisional Railway Engineer-2 Birbal Mandal said, a Shobhan Chair coach of Dhaka-bound Burimari Express was derailed, and some railway sleepers have been          damaged.
