Two members of fraud syndicate held in Nilphamari

Police have arrested two alleged members of a fraud syndicate from Pachrasta area under Nilphamari Sadar upazila on charge of taking bribes from different government employees in Khulna.

Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) commissioner Md Mozammel Haque told this at a press briefing at the KMP headquarters in Khulna on Saturday.

He said a team of Khulna Metropolitan Police in cooperation with Nilphamari police on Friday arrested Monwar Hossain, 45, son of Abdun Nur, resident of Mohabbat Bazitpara area, and Shahjalal, 33, son of Abdus Samad, a resident of Sonaroy Ultopara area under Nilphamari Sadar upazila.
 
The KMP commissioner said the arrestees are the active members of a fraud syndicate and have been running their activities since long. They are also wanted criminals in several cases with different police stations, he added.
