The re-evaluation process for the results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on Monday and will continue till May 19.

Tapan Kumar Sarker, chairman of Dhaka Education Board and President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said if anyone is dissatisfied or unhappy with the results, they can apply for a re-evaluation. The application for reevaluation will start from Monday, and will continue until May 19.

They can do this online from the comfort of their home. Later, the board will review the scripts and resolve the applications.

Ways to apply for reevaluation

Requests for a review on the SSC results can be made through SMS (Short Message Service) of state-run mobile operator Teletalk.

A student will have to write RSC first three letters of his/her board roll number subject code on the message creating option and send to 16222.

In a reply message, the applicant will get information on charges for the application and a PIN number.

If the student wants to proceed, he/she will have to reply after writing RSC Yes PIN number contact number (of any operator) on the messaging option through the Teletalk number.

Tk 125 will be charged for reevaluation of each subject. In the case of applying for multiple subjects, the applicant will have to write the code of the subjects in one message using a comma between the codes of two subjects for separation.

Meanwhile, officials from the education board state that when a student's script is reevaluated, it is not re-graded. Instead, four aspects of the answer script are examined during the reevaluation process.

These include whether all the questions in the answer script have been correctly marked, whether the total marks have been calculated correctly, whether the marks have been properly transferred to the OMR sheet, and whether the circles on the OMR sheet have been filled correctly according to the marks obtained.

The results of the re-evaluation are determined after checking these aspects. If any mistakes are found in these areas, they are corrected, and the results are reissued.

Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury handed over the results summary of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations-2024 to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday morning.
