The flight operation resumed at 8:35am.
Passengers of three local cancelled flights returned their respective homes as the authorities cancelled those flights on Sunday night. Meanwhile, distant passengers have been kept at different residential hotels.
The flight operations remained suspended since 7pm on Sunday, according to the airport sources.
According to
Saidpur Airport officials, more than 200 passengers were stuck at the airport due to the suspension.
The cancelled three flights are NOVOAIR, US-Bangla and Air Estra airlines.
Some of the officials said that development work has been underway in the airport's runway. The power cable at the runway might have been snapped, causing the power disruption.
A special team from Dhaka is on the way to Saidpur to assist the technical officials to identify and solve the problem, said Suplob Kumar Ghosh, manager of the airport.
