Standard Bank opens Hajj booth at Hajj camp, Ashkona

Shariah based Standard Bank PLC opened a Hajj Booth at Haj Camp, Ashkona, Dhaka, says a press release. Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony Mohammad Mohon Miah, Managing Director and CEO (Current Charge) of the bank and special guest Muhammad Kamruzzaman, Deputy Secretary and Director of Hajj Office, Ashkona; formally inaugurated the Hajj Booth on Monday.

Free passport endorsement, foreign currency exchange and Hajj information services will be provided to Hajj pilgrims from the Hajj Booth.  Md Mosharraf Hossain, SEVP and Chief Remittance Officer and senior officials of the bank were present at the event.

After the inauguration, the bank provided prayer mat for Mosque at Hajj Camp and handed over gift packages to Hajj pilgrims containing necessary items for Hajj.
