BNP joint secretary general Moazzem Hossain Alal has sought unconditional apology to the High Court for his derogatory remarks on the judiciary.

He appeared before an HC bench of Justice Md Iqbal Kabir and Justice Md Akhtaruzzaman on Tuesday following a summon and, later, sought an apology.

After that, the court acquitted Alal from personal appearance and will pass its order a week later, said senior lawyer Jaynul Abedin.
In the written statement, Alal said he will remain aware of delivering speech in the future.

Earlier on April 19, the High Court summoned BNP leader Alal to appear before the court in person on May 14 for his explanations over the derogatory remarks on the judiciary.
