Man 'stabbed dead by brother' over land dispute in Ctg

A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his elder brother over land dispute in Chattogram's Raozan upazila on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at night at Khanpara village under Pahartali union of the upazila.
The victim Sohag Mia, 45, was a resident of that village. The accused in the incident is his elder brother Sona Mia.

Pahartali UP Chairman Rokon Uddin said the two brothers had a dispute over a land for a long time. Following this, a quarrel happened between the two after the hearing of the land related case in the court on Wednesday. At one point, Sona Mia stabbed Sohag Mia with a knife in the evening.

Locals rescued him and took to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Raozan Police Station sub-inspector Ajay Deb Sheel said legals steps were under process in this regard.
