Nine people found dead in seven districts

Nine people including two women and two minor children have been found dead in separate incidents in seven districts - Coxs Bazar, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Bagerhat, Gopalganj, Sirajganj and Tangail, in recent times.
UKHIYA, COXS BAZAR: Police recovered the body of an employee of a NGO from Kotbazar area in Ukhiya Upazila of the district on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Abdullah Al Masud, son of Mohammad Shafi. He was an employee at an NGO, named NRC. He lived in a rented house at Kotbazar in Ukhiya Upazila for his job purpose.  
Ratnapalang Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Selim Kaysar said Masud rented a house in Kotbazar area under Ratnapalang Union of the upazila five months back.
On Wednesday night, locals found his hanging body and informed the matter to police.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene, the UP chairman added.
Police assumed that Abdullah Al Masud might have committed suicide by hanging himself.
However, the reason behind his committing suicide could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhiya Police station (PS) Md Shamim Hossain confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and the actual reason behind the death of the NGO worker would be known after getting the autopsy report.
GOMASTAPUR, CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Police recovered the hanging body of a female college student from her his room in Gomastapur Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Barsha, 20, daughter of Helal Uddin, a resident of Khayrabad Dulipara area under Rohanpur Municipality in the upazila. She was an intermediate student in a local college.
It was known that after getting no response from inside of Barshas room in the house in the morning, the deceaseds family members broke into the room and found her hanging from the ceiling.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Rohanpur Police Investigation Centre Abul Hashem confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind her death would be known after getting the autopsy report and an unnatural death case was filed with Gomastapur PS in this regard.
NAOGAON: Two people were found dead in separate incidents in Porsha and Manda upazilas of the district in three days.
Police recovered the floating body of an ethnic man from under a bridge in Porsha Upazila on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Monsha, 38, son of Khoka, a resident of Sirajpur Nazidanga Sinua Village in Niamatpur Upazila of the district.
Police sources said locals spotted the body of Monsha floating in a water reservoir under Khatirpur Bridge beside the Saraigachhi-Adda road in Chhaor Union of Porsha Upazila on Monday in the morning and informed the matter to police.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The body bore no injury marks.
The deceaseds family members said Monsha was a drug addict. They assumed that he might have fall into the water body after taking drugs, and drowned.
Porsha PS SI Shahidul Islam confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.
On the other hand, police recovered the body of a day-labourer from a mango orchard in Manda Upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Alep Uddin Sardar, 50, hailed from Shreerampur Village in the upazila. He used to live at his father-in-laws house in Kanachan Khudur Mor area.
Locals spotted his body at a mango orchard owned by one Ashraf Ali in Kanachan Ichgate area at around 11 am.
Anarul Islam, a relative of the deceased, said Alep Uddin had a quarrel with his family members after his returning home from Faridpur a few days back.
As a sequel to it, Alep Uddin might have been murdered, he assumed.
Manjura, wife of the deceased, said her husband left home at around 5 pm on Friday to have tea at nearby Khudur Mor area but did not return.
Later on, locals found his body in the morning at a mango orchard, she added.
Mandai PS OC Mojammel Haque Kazi said on information, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
No injury mark was found on the body.
However, the law enforcers are investigating the matter and the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report, the OC added.
MORRELGANJ, BAGERHAT: Police recovered the body of a man from Morrelganj Upazila in the district on Monday noon.
The deceased was identified as Alam Farazi, 38, son of late Abdur Rab Farazi, a resident of Bhasandal Village under Nishanbaria Union in the upazila. He was the father of two children.
It was known that Alam Farazi had been suffering from mental instability for long. The family members used to hold him with chain behind the house. At around 11 am on Monday, he was found dead there.
The family members then saw the body and informed police that Alam Farazi committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene at around 2 pm on Monday and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
However, the law enforcers have detained the deceaseds mother Rahima Begum, 65, brother Badsha Farazi, 45, and sister Rexana Begum for questioning.
Morrelganj PS OC Mohammad Shamsuddin confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.
Additional Superintend of Police in Morrelganj Circle Md Ashiqur Rahman visited the scene.
GOPALGANJ: Police recovered the body an easy-bike driver from the bank of the Dariar Kul River in Tungipara Upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Arman Sheikh, 20, son of Tapu Sheikh, a resident of Gimadanga Munsirchar Village under Barni Union in the upazila.
Quoting the deceaseds family members, Tungipara PS OC Khandaker Aminur Rahman said Arman went out of his house on Saturday morning, but did not return. His mobile phone was found switched off since 2 pm.
Later on, locals spotted his body on the bank of the river and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The body bore several injure marks.
However, the law enforcers are investigating the matter, the OC added.
SIRAJGANJ: Police recovered the bodies of two children from the bank of the Jamuna River in Shahjadpur Upazila of the district on Sunday noon.
The deceased were identified as Abu Bakar, 4, and his maternal cousin Yeasin, 5, residents of Satbaria Village under Beltail Union in the upazila.
Deceased Abu Bakars father Rubel Hossain said that he along with the duo went to visit his in-laws house recently. During the visit, Abu Bakar and Yeasin went missing since Saturday morning while they were playing on the bank of the river.
Later on, locals found the bodies of the duo inside some blocks which were kept there to build barricades for riverbank conservation on Sunday noon and informed police.
Confirming the incident, Enayetpur PS OC Abdur Razzak said on information, police recovered the bodies from the scene and sent those to a hospital morgue for autopsies.
"It is assumed that they were trapped after falling inside these blocks and died there, but efforts are going on to find out the actual reason behind their death," the OC added.
NAGARPUR, TANGAIL: Police recovered the body of a woman from a paddy field in Nagarpur Upazila of the district on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Anjana Begum, 42, wife of Md Nazrul Islam, a resident of Baroposha Village under Bekra Union in the upazila.
According to the deceaseds family, Anjana went out of her house on Thursday morning to go to her fathers house. She had been missing since then.
Later on, locals spotted her body in a paddy field at around 8 am on Friday and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Tangail General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Nagarpur PS OC HM Jasim Uddin confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind her death would be known after getting the autopsy report.
