Teenage killed in Feni lightning

A teenage boy was killed in a lightning strike in Feni's Chhagalnaiya upazila on Sunday.

The accident took place around 2 pm at Uttar Kuhuma village under Radhanagar union in the upazila.
Deceased Mahadi, 18, son of Atiqur Rahman Majumdar, was a resident of the village Majumdar.

Chhagalnaiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hasan Imam confirmed it.

Local UP member Mahtab Uddin Majumdar said Mahadi went to a field next to their house to fetch cows in the afternoon as the sky was cloudy. Suddenly, a lightning struck on him. He fell on the ground. Later, when he was taken to Chhagalnaiya Upazila Health Complex, the doctors declared him dead.
