Chairman candidate's supporter jailed for 3-day in Gazipur

A mobile court in Gazipur sentenced a supporter of Jamil Hasan Durjoy, a chairman candidate of Sreepur upazila parishad election, to three days' imprisonment for violating electoral code of conduct.

Kamrul Hasan Khan, a supporter of Jamil, was caught red-handed by the executive magistrate at Gosinga High School polling centre around 10am while he was trying to enter the centre without permission.

Later, UNO SM Imam Raji Tulu sentenced him to three days' imprisonment.
Gosinga High School centre presiding officer Mozammel Haque Sheikh said that Kamrul was punished by the Magistrate on charge for repeatedly entering the centre. He is not an agent or polling agent.
