4 houses gutted in Mymensingh fire

Four houses were gutted in a fire that broke out at Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh district on Monday. 

The incident occurred around 9pm at Patlashi village undet Niguar union of the upazila. 

It was learnt that the fire originated from an electrical short circuit at a house of Salam Bepari and engulfed nearby houses. 

Later, locals brought the fire under control after one hour of attempts.
However, by that time, four houses were completely gutted. 

One of the victims, Salam Bepari, said the fire caused damage estimated at over Tk 12 lakh of our two brothers. 
   
Ramprasad Pal, station officer of Gafargaon Fire Station, said, on information, they went to the spot but locals had already doused the fire before they have reached.
