Turag commuter train derails in Gazipur

A compartment of Dhaka-bound 'Turag Express' derailed at Dhirashram Rail Station in Gazipur on Thursday morning.

The incident took place at the Dhirashram station at 8am, Tongi Railway Station Master Hanif Ali.

However, train movement on the Joydebpur-Dhaka route is being continued through an alternative line.

Mohsin Ahmed, a passenger of the train, said a compartment of the Turag Express derailed at Dhirashram soon after it started. But no casualties were reported in the derailment.
