Members of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in West Bengal have arrested a Bangladeshi youth in connection with the murder of Anwarul Azim Anar MP from Jhenidah-4 constituency.
The arrested youth is Siam. He was in that flat on May 13 when the murder incident happened. He is being quizzed.
CID confirmed this on Thursday (May 23).
They also seized a white cab car which was used to transport the body parts of the MP.
It was learnt that Siam, who was arrested by the CID, was involved in transporting the body parts of the MP to different places.
Several plastic bags were found in the flat. Police suspect that the parts of the body were transported through this bags. And a suitcase was also used in this purpose.
Anwarul Azim went to West Bengal of India for treatment on May 12. He went missing after telling his family over phone that he was going to Delhi.
His blood-stained body was recovered from a flat of Sanjiva Garden at New Town in Bidhan Nagar of West Bengal on Wednesday (May 22).
Two cases--one in Bangladesh and one in India--have been filed over the murder.
