DU Day to ben celebrated on July 1

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have chalked out elaborate programmes to mark its Day on July 1 with fanfare and gaiety.

In this regard, a preparation programme was held on Thursday at Prof Abdul Matin Chowdhury virtual classroom on the campus.

Vice-Chancellor Prof ASM Maksud Kamal presided over the programme.

On July 1, teachers, students, officers and employees will bring out rallies from their respective halls and hostels at 9:30am and gather at Memory Eternal at VC Chhattar.

From Memory Eternal, a rally led by the Vice-Chancellor will march towards Payra Chattar at TSC at 9:45am.

Prof Kamal will inaugurate various programmes to mark the DU Day at 10:00am there.

Later on, a discussion will be held at TSC Auditorium at 10:30am, said a press release issued by Public Relations Office Director Mahmood Alam on Thursday.

Dhaka University was established on July 1, 1921.
