Cyclone Remal: Youth dies as wall collapses in Ctg

A young man died after a wall of an under-construction building collapsed on him at Bayazid Bastami area in Chattogram district on Monday morning.

The incident happened around 8:00am in the Textile Residential area adjacent to Bayazid Bastami Police Station.  

The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam, 26.

Kamruzzaman, senior officer of the Bayezid Fire Service Station, said that a person was killed as a portion of a wall of an under-construction building collapsed on him in the morning after heavy rain in the port city.
Receiving information, the body was recovered from the scene, he added.

Mentionable, heavy rain with gusty wind caused by cyclone Remal created water logging in the Chattogram city. Many places are inundated with the water due to overnight downpour.
