A young man died and three others were injured from electrocution in Moulvibazar's Rajnagar upazila on Wednesday.

The accident took place in the afternoon at Parachakra village under the upazila.
The deceased Adil Mia was a resident of that village.

At that time, Hamid Mia, Shapla Begum and Rupan Mia of the same place were seriously injured in the accident.

Police and locals said the injured Hamid Mia came in contact with a live electric wire while he was trying to charge his auto-rickshaw at his residence. At that time, when his wife Shapla Begum, nephew Rupan Mia and Adil Mia came forward to save him, they were all electrocuted.

Locals rescued the four people and took them to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital where doctors declared Adil Mia dead.

Rajnagar Police Station officer-in-charge Salek Ahmed confirmed it.
