Rain likely in 5 divisions of country

Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in parts of country, said a met forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am Thursday.

"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions," it said, BSS reports.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Southwest monsoon has advanced up to Teknaf coast as conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest monsoon.

Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.4 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature Thursday was 21.5 degrees Celsius at Netrokona.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am Thursday was recorded 35 millimeters (mm) at Netrakona.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over northern part and may rise slightly elsewhere over the country.

The sun sets at 06:42 PM Thursday and rises at 05:11 AM Friday in the capital.
