Woman's hanging body found in Manikganj

Police recovered the hanging body of a woman from her room at Sadar upazila in Manikganj district on Thursday.

Deceased Saleha Aktar, was the wife of lawyer Abdullah Al-Rajab, a resident of Porra area in the upazila.

It was learnt that there was a long standing feud between Abdullah and his wife Saleha over a suspicion of Abdullah's extramarital affairs.

As a sequel to that, Saleha locked her room from inside and hanged herself with a veil on Thursday morning after an altercation with her husband over the issue.

On information, police rushed to spot and recovered the body, said Habil Hossain, officer in-charge of Manikganj Sadar Police Station.

He said the body was sent to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Legal steps in this regard were under process, he added.
