"Representatives of NATO countries, especially in Europe, especially small countries, should realise what they are playing at," Vladimir Putin has just stated, report Reuters and AP.

The Kremlin chief was referring to recent statements by Latvian authorities giving the green light to the use of Western weapons to attack Russia.
The leaders of NATO countries, especially of small, densely populated countries, "should take these factors into account" before encouraging other countries to "attack areas deep into Russian territory", Putin said at a press conference at the end of a two-day official visit to Uzbekistan.

The Russian president further stressed that Russia will continue to do what it deems necessary regardless of who is on Ukrainian territory. He referred to a recent statement by Polish authorities who did not rule out the possibility that they might deploy their troops on Ukrainian territory at some point.
