Love in Rabindrantah Thakurs literature

Love is an inevitable consequence of human civilization. No creature without love exists or can exist in this universe. There was love at the beginning of creation. Love is eternal, Love is always beautiful. Love is immortal. Loves contribution to creativity is undeniable. The definition of love is the same regardless of country or age. Whether love is physical or mental or psycho-physical depends varies person to person. There is no one to deny love, never was. It is for this reason that the song of love has appeared in the literature of different languages of the country and abroad. Romeo and Juliet or Devdas - Parvati came up.

The theory behind it is nothing but love. Similarly, poetry was not out of it. It is not possible to keep.  However, the word love can be divided into many dimensions. Then Bengali love is found in Vaishnava Padavali. However, in a very narrow view, the sprouting desire or desire of men and women has become love and mixed with the holes of society. If we start from Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay, the writers novel Kapalkundala about Navakumar comes to the fore. And that Kapalkundlas famous quote, Pathik, have you lost your way? From there, a strong connection of love takes place in the novel. Then came the era of Rabindranath and Saratchandra Chattopadhyay following the end of Kapalkundala-Navakumar.

Rabindranath Tagores hand held the renaissance of love. New forms of love started to accumulate in his songs and poems. Our topic today is Rabindranath Tagore. Many called Rabindranath Tagore a saint, a devotee to literature. Grown up in a landlord family, Rabindranath Tagore himself emerged as a prodigious genius in this Bengali society during his time as a world poet. The fervour of his writings shook the Bengali society at that time. But the agitation is not over yet. Rather, Rabindra researchers are always presenting new theories about him. Even today, Bengali society lives on the message of love left by the universal poet.

This Bengali who has been enthralled for more than one and a half hundred years, has he succeeded so easily?
Now the question is whether the poets pursuit of love was physical or mental. The answer could be both, but the satisfying inner pursuit of the mind rather than the body was predominant. In other words, he gave more priority to the mind in love.

Again, love of nature and love of God are combined in his words, songs, and melody. He mingled with the Creators creation, praying to surrender himself. This is impossible without true love. He was a man of early romantic spirit. However, he has been dissected in many ways by critics. Attempts are made to corroborate his expression. Critics often dissect the relationship that Rabindranath had with Kadombini devi in the family. However, both body and mind are important in expressing love.

Again the two most important elements in love are men and women without which society is incomplete. Human civilization is based on the eternal love of man and woman. No matter how he tries to explain it, love is incomplete and irreplaceable without the love of man and woman. That definition of love is hidden in the original theory of creation. It is doubtful whether there is anything else as strong as male love in the words of the poet. Human civilization gets a lot of strength if this power is used in society. But there is nothing wrong with showing the body. Then a simple question may arise. What is the religion of love? How did the poet explain that religion? Rabindranath Tagores love poems are practiced today as they were practiced in the middle ages.

The appeal of Kabigurus love poems is timeless and perhaps such a deep love poem has never been written to date. But there are many love poems. The poet has searched for the nature of love in many ways. Is love only a burning sensation in the human heart? Is he just annoying? Or is there a kind of better feeling of joy even in suffering, and I think the human heart is spoiled by the expectation of that feeling? Rabindranath Tagores poetry is multifaceted. His poetry is sometimes in conservative classical style, in humorous lightness, in philosophical seriousness, sometimes in exuberance of joy.

Rabindranath Tagores poetry is recognized all over the world. That is why he is a world poet. And among all these, it can be said that his love poems are among them, because he penned poetry in every branch of love.

Love makes people happy, and captivates. Again, love gives pain and burns the heart. But the poet calls the joy of love transitory and on the contrary, the pain of love long lasting. He wrote that the joy of love is short-lived but the paint lasts the whole life. That is, the pain of love is also a kind of happiness that people keep forever. Even if you don want to hold it, the pain remains. Love is a truth that cannot be denied.

The poets love affair with Victoria Ocampo, thirty-nine years younger than Rabindranath, is indeed a myth. Who is this foreigner? It is said that Rabindranath fell in love with this Victoria Ocampo. On the contrary, it is not known what exactly the reaction of this foreign beauty was. However, it is a popular belief that Kabigurus song, Aam Chini Go Chini Tomare, Ogo Videshini was written about this Mem Saheeb. Some more women are known to have come into the poets life. Among these, a talented writer and Marathi daughters of the poet are known.

Although here the word love becomes more secondary in interpretation with women since Rabindranath Tagore is a lover of nature and also a lover of God. Human love also has many parts. The surprising thing is that Rabindranath Tagore tried to give his being in each of these cases. True love is like that. Only when he gives himself up can he find love. However, the poets relationship with the poets wife was very close and intimate. It is known that he was married soon after the rumors started in Thakurbari about his relationship with Boudi. Anyway, thats another story. In all these discussions it only becomes clear that the universal poet Rabindranath Tagore was a true lover in his mind, thought, and philosophy. His love consciousness developed in man, nature, and God. Maybe thats why many call him a saint. He is also a saint of love. On The birthday of Rabindranath Thakur, there is a profound respect for him.
