Injured Barakhali UP chairman dies at CMCH

RANGAMATI, May 31: Chairman of Barakhali Union Parishad (UP) Atumang Marma in Bilaichari upazila of the district succumbed to his injuries at Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on Thursday night as he received bullet injuries while attacking by unidentified miscreants earlier.

Marma breathed his last around 11.48pm while undergoing treatment at the CMCH for nine days since he got the injuries last week, confirmed by Upazila Parishad Chairman Biruttam Tanchangya.
Atumang Marma was attacked by the miscreants during the second phase of the Upazila Parishad election on May 21.
