Youth killed as new motorcycle crashes on maiden ride

A youth was killed in a road accident while returning home after purchasing a motorcycle in Chuadanga'a Damurhuda on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Hasabul Mallik, 25, son of Yakub Mallik of Khalishagari village of Natudah Union of Damurhuda Upazila.
The accident occurred around 5:30 pm in front of the tea stall of Uzirpur's Ashraful Islam on the Chuadanga-Darshana road, said Damurhuda Model Police Station sub-inspector Mahbubur Rahman.

He said Hasabul was returning home after buying a Pulsar motorcycle from Alamdanga market. When he reached Ashraful Islam's tea stall, Hasabul lost control of the motorcycle and got seriously injured.

Later, locals rescued him and took him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital but doctors there declared him dead.

The body has been kept at the hospital morgue, added SI Mahbubur.
