The Group-B champion Kenya and the Group-A runner-up Nepal are engaging in the second semifinal of the Bangabandhu Cup 2024 International Kabaddi Tournament on Sunday (2 June) at 6:00 pm to claim a spot in the final.

T-Sports will broadcast all of the matches live from Mirpurs Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium.
Kenya had previously played in the tournaments final twice and in the semifinals once, while Nepal was a first-time semifinalist. Nepal is performing better in this tournament than it did in the previous edition.

Ghanshyam, the Nepalese team captain and a Pro-Kabaddi League player in India, was the hero responsible for the teams success thus far.

The attention of many was drawn to the Nepalese captain who won four consecutive Man of the Match awards.

However, the current Kenya team is not as good as it was before in the last few editions. None but James Namasa in the team can pose any kind of threat to the opponents.

Kenya came to the semis as the unbeaten champion of Group-B after winning all group matches. The team beat Iraq, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Uganda.

On the other hand, Nepal became runner-up in Group-A following wins over Malaysia, Poland, and South Korea. The boys lost the last group match to the host Bangladesh and became group runner-up.

Both the opponents were hoping for a win in the semifinals. Nepals vital player Ghanshyam said they wanted to leave the court with a win on Sunday. James of Kenya, in reply, said they were not thinking anything but winning the semis and the final.

Fans will have to wait and see who wins the semifinal on Sunday and confirm the final.
